Cinders Cottage is a 17th century Grade II listed part timbered cottage. Thought to have been built around 1640, but no known record of construction date has survived. Originally one of three cottages forming part of agricultural works known as The Cinders, thought to be where the hop bines were burnt after harvest. The stone work that forms the current chimney stack is probably from a building predating the current cottage. The roof was raised in the 19th century to form a upper floor and a small rear extension was built circa 1900. The cottage was separated from the nearby farm in the early 1980s when a further extension was added.
There is planning permission and listed building consent for a green oak framed conservatory and combined workshop and garage. Some drawings are attached.
The village of Ashperton lies some 5 miles West of Ledbury and has itís own Primary School, Church and there is a very good farm shop nearby selling local produce.
